I was planning on doing 8 miles, but after I got out and started running in the wind, I cut it down to 6. It was still a decent run, just windy, and slow.
Might do an easy run tomorrow depending on the weather (we're in the middle of a tornado warning right now...again, welcome to Kansas). Or, I might rest and save my legs for a big basketball game Monday night.
My basketball team ended up finishing 2nd in the league and we are in the championship game of the postseason tournament on Monday night. Looking forward to a good game. The team we're playing lost to us and beat us, so this is the tie breaker. Wish us luck!

It's been windy here as well. I like to think of running in the wind as resistance training. But I don't like it either!
At least you didn't end up in a strange land with little people singing about how you squished some mean old witch! Hmmm... maybe tomorrow.
Good luck on your basketball game!!
Sorry about the wind, it sucks!
Good luck at your game.
The wind is wearing us down too...blow your contacts right out of your eyes!
Yes the wind is just an added training element! HA. And what happened to the warm? Seriously. GRRR... have to do my 18 in the cold now. Boo. At least the tornadoes moved along!
I hate running in the wind. It's tough! Good for you for going for it - even if you did have to cut your run a little short.
Urgh, I can completely relate to hating the wind. Sometimes (call me crazy) I get so mad I actually yell futiley at it! :) I don't like things messing with my run, ha.
My fingers are crossed for your basketball team!
Running into the wind bites. All that effort & it feels like you've progressed an inch!
oh i hate running in the wind :( good job for getting the 6 done!
So, I know what I'm getting myself in to, but it once again makes me nervous about my spring marathon choice with the wind talk. :P I'm praying for just moderately windy and not hurricane force gusts on April 11.
