Outside of the Oz Museum. Next door there was a restaurant called Toto's Tacoz Mexican Restaurant. Unfortunately, they were closed.

During the holiday break, I took the family to Manhattan to see my beloved and #12 ranked K-State basketball team play a home game. They won the game easily before a sell out crowd, and we had an absolute blast.
We had heard about a place called the Oz Museum nearby, so of course we had to visit. We drove about 15 minutes to Wamego, Kansas, in order to visit the Oz Museum, a tribute to the Wizard of Oz. Evidently, the museum is pretty well known, and we got to see some cool stuff.
After paying our admission, they told us to take all the pictures we wanted while inside. So, we did.
They had an area dedicated to each of the main characters: Dorothy, the Tinman, Scarecrow, and Lion, as well as for the Wicked Witch, Good Witch, and Wizard. I didn't see a Toto exhibit.
The Dorothy exhibit
The boys imitating the Scarecrow
Oiling the Tin Man
"Roar" said the Cowardly Lion, or my son...one of the two...
Oz items in other languages
Scarecrow, Flying Monkey, Emerald City, and Pete's Wicked Ale
This little theater room had the Wizard of Oz playing non-stop..
Here are some of the funny signs/shirts that I saw in the gift shop:

Sounds/looks like you all had a great time! What a fun museum.
"Picture Heavy Posts" are my favorite! Nice photos with those boys. :)
my BFF has a book of 1000 places to see in america before you die, and the Oz museum is 1 of them!
I was at the arena open house on sat. and I saw these little boys walking by and they looked so familiar. I looked and wondered where I knew them from. Then it hit me as they were following a mom and a dad, now very far away, "those are Oz runner's kids, AND there's Oz runner." But not wanting to yell, "OZ RUNNER!" in a very crowded public place, I opted to let it go.
Hope you guys enjoyed the arena
Love it! Those flying monkeys used to freak me out... oh heck, they still do!
How fun!! I love posts with LOTS of pictures..
So the no TV night is more for me than my kids. It is a reminder that I should stop telling them to be quiet so I can watch my show, turn it off and PLAY with them. When summer approaches this gets much easier...last night was a huge success.
I am thinking that Board games would be FUN for your age kiddos..
What a cool place! Looks like a great trip.
Looks like a fun time!
