My podiatrist prescribed me with Custom made orthotics which did not work at all. There are Taping techniques that I find very useful. There are a few more self care techniques that I got from this informative website-
http://www.plantar-fasciitis-elrofeet.com/How_is_Plantar_Fasciitis_TreatedUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03073677283710301588noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4155040142224230662.post-90008675950375665792010-02-10T08:50:21.460-06:002010-02-10T08:50:21.460-06:00ok I know you probably don't want to hear this...ok I know you probably don't want to hear this...but everything I have read lately says barefoot running or vibrams helps to resolve plantar fasciatis...so it might be worth consideringRunToTheFinishhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13995696358152941044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4155040142224230662.post-3020560910861134392010-02-09T08:29:25.953-06:002010-02-09T08:29:25.953-06:00I've never tried those inserts but think seein...I've never tried those inserts but think seeing a podiatrist is a good idea. My guess is he'll recommend the orthodics and maybe PT. Tell him you want to run and that not running is a non-acceptable solution (I hate it when DR's tell me that).Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02527827359630897863noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4155040142224230662.post-66866295980011243842010-02-08T21:44:13.600-06:002010-02-08T21:44:13.600-06:00good luck! hope it goes well.

My best experience has been with powerstep pinnacles - you want a firm, stiff arch - not a cushy gel one. Hopefully your doc will give you the gammut of stretches massage and icing to do. I hope to do a dull post on this soon on my blog. Best of luck! I'm cheering for you!RunningLaurhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08718905572574315398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4155040142224230662.post-58850569990079275502010-02-08T18:33:12.266-06:002010-02-08T18:33:12.266-06:00Geez, I'm starting to wonder if you shouldn...Geez, I'm starting to wonder if you shouldn't give barefoot running a try with all this trouble!

Good luck with the podiatrist.joyRuNhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03033973041471006513noreply@blogger.com
